"What’s weird is that when the iPhone is limiting you to LTE speeds, it will still display the 5G icon in the status bar. It’s now an indicator of the best speed available to you, not the actual type of connection that’s actively in use.” https://t.co/NN9uib1v3a

iPhone 12 and iPhone 12 Pro reviews are here. @backlon reviewed the 12 with a focus on 5G: https://t.co/3T9zVkHQWA

And I reviewed the 12 Pro and they let me completely nerd out on Dolby Vision - with a big assist from @BeccaFarsace! https://t.co/xc4NwiavYQ
Been happening with Samsung phones on T-Mobile since launch.

It's still insane and stupid. https://t.co/6QPOhvNBoV
Wait. No one will actually know if they're connected to 5G networks on an iPhone? https://t.co/6ugDBaJ7Kv pic.twitter.com/jCQOfM7Bvv

Don’t consider Apple’s latest iPhones for the superfast 5G network connection, but for the best design in years and a great set of cameras, writes @JoannaStern https://t.co/spPxiYpUR2

My journey to find superfast 5G to test the new iPhone 12 took me to the back of a Safeway parking lot. And to a Pet Food Express. 3 locations that were supposed to have fast 5G had no signal. https://t.co/jNwZCkEgh1 It's too bad 5G was the most hyped feature. It isn't there yet.

In case you need a reason to convince yourself not to get an iPhone 12.. worse battery life than the iPhone 11 https://t.co/fJset59El4

The 5G on the iPhone 12 and 12 Pro is INSANELY fast—if you ever find the 5G!

My review, and why you’re going to want these phones even if you never ever find 5G. https://t.co/d8Soc5iIVy pic.twitter.com/3Jmr9BW2Hr
The iPhone 12 definitely seems like the best pick for most people. The 12 Pro is for those of us who insist on the best cameras. https://t.co/LNystOfoIl #iphone12

There’s nothing like a @reckless review where he feels free to just geek out about cameras using words I’ve never heard before. And that’s true about his review of the iPhone 12 Pro. But my favorite part is the very end of his video. https://t.co/RArneOATPl

I got to use the words "perceptual quantizer" today, which I'm calling a win. Also I figured out how iPhone Dolby Vision video works: https://t.co/xc4NwiavYQ pic.twitter.com/rpL54EtWEN

The gold iPhone 12 Pro has a more fingerprint resistant frame https://t.co/gop3gm1GGC pic.twitter.com/flSCqh3mwS

One thing that was trimmed because of word count: I learned that 5G is not created equal on all phones. For comparison purposes, I tested the OnePlus 8 on superfast 5G alongside the iPhone 12. 5G downloads on the iPhone 12 were consistently two times faster than OnePlus 8.

And here's my review of the iPhone 12 Pro. My take? If you're buying Pro, you probably want to wait to see what the iPhone 12 Pro Max is like in November with it's camera-specific upgrades.https://t.co/zCqOdAgewk

> I have seen a few fine scratches crop up on my iPhone 12’s screen. […] Nothing insanely noticeable, mind you, but whatever the improvements to overall hardness the new Corning Ceramic Shield process brings to the table it is not […] invincible to wear and tear. https://t.co/WH2llNJnAs
Apple’s iPhone 12 brings one of the biggest iPhone upgrades in years, no thanks to the 5G connectivity, writes columnist @JoannaStern https://t.co/XncpTuxIqq

@reckless reviewed the iPhone 12 Pro separately. I do covet that telephoto lens, but I’m not sure it’s worth the upgrade price.
