It’s an unbelievably graphic video and there are accounts that are doing nothing but reposting the clip. Kids who have seen it are posting videos saying how traumatic it was to see and urging others not to look for it. https://t.co/i9D0PGK87c

guy gets off phone with gf and shoots himself in the chin with shotgun, and yeah its as graphic as you think. More haunting too since his dog just rolls up afterwards too towards the corpse.

“The video was reportedly live streamed on Facebook first before users began transferring it to Tiktok ...”

18 months ago I asked FB how many live streamed suicides, rapes and murders it’s platform had hosted. They never answered, but the number seems still to be rising. https://t.co/VsWvxYtjic
Dear @Facebook and @tiktok_us , my son just saw a man kill himself thanks to you. He isn’t the only one. To my representatives, @RepJudyChu , @SenFeinstein , and @KamalaHarris , what else do you need to see before you regulate these companies?

Today's a good day for kids to take a break from @tiktok_us https://t.co/aAmtu2WhVM

Insane.. I saw it on twitter on accident. As someone who has seen fucked up real gore shit before.. that was just the worst. Poor guy.

Für immer im meinem Kopf gebrannt.
PSA: If you see this appearing at any point on TikTok, scroll on past - and quickly. It's a video of a successful suicide attempt. Also worth noting it's appearing in the middle of otherwise innocuous TikToks https://t.co/5aT0Uomz8J pic.twitter.com/24R3ZEWpmR

FWIW this type of stuff has been and remains pervasive on IG for years but the content on IG is distributed by follow graph and sequestered on private accts. TikTok’s distribution system is completely different and allows for things like this to spread much faster

IMMINENT TRAUMA/PTSD WARNING:
— Alexis Tangman (@AlexisTangmanVA) September 7, 2020
My friend Ronnie McNutt committed suicide via hunting rifle on a FB livestream in front of myself and 200 others. The video is now making its rounds on @tiktok_us.
If you see a video of a bearded man at a desk on TikTok, CLICK AWAY AND REPORT IT.
Well this is grim. https://t.co/ggcbz4vGug

TikTok and Instagram facing a big challenge to stop the spread of a hugely distressing video. Clips of it are being inserted into other content to play cat & mouse with content moderators. Christchurch underlines the importance of rapid response teams https://t.co/qrncUU94nD
