Samsung, as a 'mask war' solver ... Helping production and securing the quantity abroad
• Samsung personnel dispatched to mask producers support the manufacturing process improvement method so that they can maximize the mask production capacity (capa) in the short term with only existing production facilities without new equipment.
• Samsung imported 280,000 masks from Canada, Colombia, China, and Hong Kong by mobilizing overseas branches and subsidiaries of affiliates such as Samsung Electronics, Samsung C & T, Samsung Display, Samsung Life Insurance, Samsung Fire, Samsung Card, Samsung Securities.
• Previously, experts at Samsung Smart Factory, which entered the Hwajin Industry in Jangseong-gun, Jeollanam-do last month, helped optimize the layout of the mask manufacturing line and eliminate bottleneck processes.
• When some manufacturers had difficulties in obtaining the necessary molds for the production of masks, Samsung produced and supported the molds themselves.
• On the 3rd March, Samsung began sending support to 3 mask companies such as E & W, Evergreen, and Restek, recommended by the Small and Medium Business Administration and the Small and Medium Business Administration.
