Thoughts on the new iPad Pro + keyboard:
— David Chen (@davechensky) March 18, 2020
-I’ve tried to use last year’s Pro as a laptop replacement but iPadOS still a pain. Don’t know if any problems will be solved this year
-$200 was way too much to ask for the last keyboard, which felt cheap. $300 is too much for this one. https://t.co/4nQ5DPUZ2A
Wow, new iPad Pro Magic Keyboard is ? and will reportedly work with the previous (late 2018) generation of iPad Pros: https://t.co/yjdxkFJrAh

woah. The new iPad Pro has a keyboard with a TRACKPAD. This is a game changer for the iPad, and means it's now a massive competitor to Surface and laptops https://t.co/3IDyC5kzn0 pic.twitter.com/e4T7KQhTlY

As a follow-up to my question about whether third-party trackpads can support iPadOS' new multitouch gestures, looks like the answer is "yes". Logitech just announced an iPad keyboard with a multitouch trackpad. ?https://t.co/TMYaEnvqFb pic.twitter.com/crE08s4T6T

Watching iPad gradually eat all its USPs must be frustrating for the Surface team; it is fascinating how Surface has defined the modern tablet more than iPad has itself

would it have killed apple to put a function/shortcut row on its fancy new $300+ iPad Pro keyboard pic.twitter.com/5iFZrmm8xs

The mother of iPad pivots. I never thought a mouse/trackpad would really come.

Next up, touch screen Macs then. pic.twitter.com/uODzpC4vhb
And unlike on my MacBook Pro, there’s no way to remap the iPad keyboard keys so I can get a forward-delete key.
— Stephen Shankland (@stshank) March 18, 2020
I know people have been pining for a trackpad, and maybe it’ll be great to make this a MacBook Air replacement, but I find OS/app limitations on copy paste a much bigger thorn in my side than cursor positioning. (I use arrow keys lots, often modified by Cmd & Opt.)

And in other news, @Apple just added #LiDAR to the iPad Pro. #nextlevel #lasers #AR https://t.co/V5eAUOeo1Q

This looks like an amazing keyboard for iPad. That hinge must be something to prop it up.

The @verge has a video ft. Craig Federighi showing how TouchPad support works in iPadOS and gotta say I'm excited about this. It looks very thoughtfully implemented for the tablet experience. ? Can't wait to try this with Zoom, Speak Screen, etc. #a11y https://t.co/DzMwFXRY1o

I have a feeling the weird cursor-morphing for toolbars with iPadOS’ trackpad support won’t be here for long. It’s as jarring as you think it might be, and adds very little to the experience

The new iPad Pro gets my dream features, and a very expensive keyboard case. Thoughts on the iPad Pro’s AR, trackpad support all for quite a bit of money - while I’m stuck at home and kids are restless https://t.co/PIjLRgrLNZ
