One of my favorite jobs was at a @Bose retail store. Sad to see the store getting shut down, but happy that no one else ever has to deal with a Bose customer ever again. https://t.co/jHPboBnwwF

1 / Bose announced it is closing approximately half of its retail stores around the world (119 out of 249 including all stores in the U.S.). A few things about this announcement don't sit well with me. https://t.co/5BvthcOjZ3

Bummer - I love Bose products and the stores were great, so easy to get help, do returns, buy refurb and closeout products. But they're still available everywhere. The shift continues... https://t.co/VCz1MPofOh

5 / Bose's problem is that the brand is losing steam in the current marketplace. The company doesn't have what it takes to compete. AirPods anyone? Bose products are increasingly viewed as tired and niche. Customers (existing and new) see a declining desire to visit Bose stores.
