구글, 안드로이드를 'OEM 파트너를 위한 플랫폼'으로 재 탄생시킨다.

• 스마트 스피커 및 스마트 디스플레이의 파트너와 함께 성공한 것을 감안할 때, OEM 파트너가 앞으로 나아갈 범주의 장치를 개발할 수있는 플랫폼으로서 Android Things를 재조명하고 있습니다.
• Android Things는 NXP i,  MX7D와 라즈베리 파이 3B와 같은 일반적인 하드웨어에서 Android Things SDK를 사용하여 스마트 연결된 장치를 실험하고 구축하기위한 플랫폼입니다. 이 보드의 시스템 이미지는 개발자가 새로운 빌드를 만들고 비상업적 사용을 위해 최대 100 개의 장치 용 앱의 업데이트를 푸시 할 수있는 Android Things 콘솔을 통해 계속 사용 가능합니다.
• 하지만 안드로이드 제품이 실제로 출시되기까지는 2 년이 걸렸지 만 소수의 스피커와 디스플레이에만 도착한 것으로 보입니다.
• Lenovo, JBL 및 LG Smart Displays는 모든 Android Things를 탑재하고 있습니다 만, Home Hub는 Google의 사내 Cast 플랫폼을 사용하고 있습니다.
• Google의 Internet-of-Things OS는 원래 Brillo라고 불렸지만, 안드로이드 개발자가 기존 기술을 사용하여 소비자, 소매 및 산업용 장치를 만드는 데 초점을 맞추기 위해 2016 년 후반에 Android Things로 변경되었습니다.
