분기실적 발표 시즌이네요. 글로벌 IT 기업들도 속속들이 실적을 발표하고 있습니다.
(아래의 내용들은 달러환율 1150원 기준 한화로 환산했습니다.)
노키아의 추락은 계속되고 있습니다. 한화 1조 이상의 영업손실을 기록했고, 기기 부문의 매출이 하락세라고 하네요. RIM은 상황이 조금 더 심각합니다. 무려 23%에 달하는 영업'손실률'을 기록하고 있습니다.
Nokia net sales in Q2 2012 were EUR 7.5 billion, up from EUR 7.4 billion in Q1 2012
- Nokia Devices & Services Q2 net sales decreased 5% quarter-on-quarter.
- Lumia Q2 volumes increased quarter-on-quarter to 4 million units.
- Mobile Phones Q2 volumes increased quarter-on-quarter and year-on-year to 73 million units. 
예상 대비 저조하다고는 하나, 애플은 실적은 여전히 무시무시합니다. 40조 3천억 원에 달하는 매출은 물론, 영업이익도 13조 3천억원으로 대단하네요. 매출의 원천을 보면 제조사에 가까운데, 영업이익률이 무려 33.0%..
The Company posted quarterly revenue of $35.0 billion and quarterly net profit of $8.8 billion, or $9.32 per diluted share. These results compare to revenue of $28.6 billion and net profit of $7.3 billion, or $7.79 per diluted share, in the year-ago quarter. 구글의 경우엔 모토로라가 끼어있어서(?) 조금 애매하네요. 따로 보는 것이 나을 것 같아요. 구 구글 부문에서는 12.6조원 매출, 4조 영업이익으로 31.4%의 영업이익률을 올렸습니다. 반면에 모토로라는 매출은 1.4조, 영업손실이 2700억원을 기록하였습니다.
On a consolidated basis, GAAP operating income in the second quarter of 2012 was $3.20 billion, or 26% of revenues. This compares to GAAP operating income of $2.88 billion, or 32% of revenues 이번 실적발표의 최대 이슈 중 하나는 마이크로소프트입니다. 항상 30대 후반~40대 초반의 영업이익률을 기록하던 대표적인 공룡기업이 상장 후 최초로 순손실을 기록했습니다. 물론 이는 2007년 인수했던 aQuantitive의 영업권을 상각한 것에 의한 일회성 손실이겠지만, '마이크로소프트도 적자를'이라는 상징적인 사건으로 보이네요. (한편으로는 약 7조 가까이 주고 인수한 회사를 한 번에 털어버리는 것이 더 대단해 보입니다만..)
순혈 제조사(?) 중 가장 압도적인 영업이익률을 자랑하는 인텔도 15.5조 매출, 4.4조 영업이익으로 여전히 대단한 28.1%의 영업이익률을 올렸습니다.
Intel Corporation today reported quarterly revenue of $13.5 billion, operating income of $3.8 billion, net income of $2.8 billion and EPS of $0.54. The company generated approximately $4.7 billion in cash from operations, paid dividends of $1.1 billion and used $1.1 billion to repurchase stock. IBM은 30조 매출, 4.7조 영업이익으로 15.9%의 영업이익률을 올렸습니다.
Second-quarter net income was $3.9 billion compared with $3.7 billion in the second quarter of 2011, an increase of 6 percent. Operating (non-GAAP) net income was $4.1 billion compared with $3.8 billion in the second quarter of 2011, an increase of 8 percent.
Total revenues for the second quarter of 2012 of $25.8 billion were down 3 percent (up 1 percent, adjusting for currency) 오라클이 실로 대단하네요. 매출은 12.6조에 불과(?)하지만, 무려 5.3조의 영업이익을 올렸습니다.
42.1%이라는 경이적인 영업이익률이네요.
ORACLE REPORTS Q4 GAAP EPS UP 11% TO 69 CENTS; Q4 NON-GAAP EPS UP 10% TO 82 CENTS
Fiscal Year 2012 Operating Cash Flow Up 23% to 13.7 billion 국내 양대 공룡인 삼성과 LG도 분기 잠정실적을 발표했습니다. 삼성은 매출 47조, 영업이익 6.7조원. LG는 매출 12.9조, 영업이익 3500억원이라고 합니다.
삼성전자가 연결기준으로 매출 47.00조원, 영업이익 6.70조원의 2012년 2분기 잠정 실적을 발표했다.
올해 2분기 매출은 전분기 대비 3.82%, 영업이익은 전분기 대비 14.53% 증가했다. 정리하면 아래와 같이 되겠네요. (정렬은 영업이익률 기준)
영업이익률 자체는 오라클이 가장 높지만, 절대규모를 생각하면 애플이 정말 대단합니다. 삼성과 오라클의 영업이익을 합쳐도 애플보다 적네요.

페이스북과 아마존도 나란히 실적발표를 진행했습니다. 페이스북은 상장 이후 최초의 실적발표인데요, 상장을 앞두고 미 회계기준(GAAP)을 적용하는 과정에서 상당한 회계적 손실을 기록한 것으로 보입니다. 그래서 주요 외신들은 non-GAAP 기준으로 보도하고 있습니다. non-GAAP 기준으로는 꽤 괜찮은 실적입니다. 1.36조 매출에 6천억 영업이익으로 오라클보다도 높은 43.5%의 영업이익률을 기록했습니다. 물론 그 대단했던 IPO에 비하면 적은(?) 것도 사실이라 주가는 폭락....
Income (loss) from operations — For the second quarter, GAAP loss from operations was $743 million, compared to income from operations of $407 million for the second quarter of 2011. Excluding share-based compensation and related payroll tax expenses, non-GAAP income from operations for the second quarter was $515 million, compared to $477 million for the second quarter of 2011. 아마존이 놀랍(?!)네요. 적자를 겨우 면했습니다. 매출은 14.8조원에 달하는데(LG나 오라클보다 큽니다) 영업이익은 오라클의 1/43(??!!)이자 LG의 1/2.8(!!!)인.. 1200억.. 영업이익률은 무려 0.8%.... 순이익은 고작(?) 70억.. 더군다나 3분기엔 적자예상이라고 아예 보도자료에 떡..
Net sales increased 29% to $12.83 billion in the second quarter,
compared with $9.91 billion in second quarter 2011. Excluding the $272
million unfavorable impact from year-over-year changes in foreign
exchange rates throughout the quarter, net sales would have grown 32%
compared with second quarter 2011.
Operating income was $107 million in the second quarter, 이 두 회사를 포함해서 다시 영업이익률 순으로 정렬하니 아래처럼 되네요.
